If you saw my first post, “Sand on my Stilettos,” then you know my feelings towards L.A. AND. . . I promised a list of all my favorite places. <list does not reflect ranking> If you live there, you might have happened upon a few (or all) from my list. If you plan to travel there soon, then Pin this article and check out a few (or all) of these spots! Make sure you tell me if you do. Let me know your favorite L.A. hot spots below- –
“But first, coffee.” This place OWNS that quote. (Note: I mean this figuratively. I’m not actually sure about the © for this quote.) I’m always a fan of the “Bucks,” but is there really anything better than a good, local coffee shop? This place has all your needs. Perfect insta or snap setting. (✓) Delicious coffee. (✓) Mouthwatering pastries. (✓) Stop on your way to work, go to relax, or spend the afternoon gabbing with friends. (Hint: get the strawberry croissant!)
If food coma is not in your vocab this place might not be for you. If dessert for breakfast is yo’ thang then run, don’t walk, to this place. . . (Running is two fold: for one, you’ll feel better about yourself after you stuff your face with their famous red velvet pancakes–or my personal favorite, the golden ticket. And two, the wait for a table is no joke but will no doubt have your mouth watering.) Warning: Go hungry not “hangry.”
I call this attraction “grown-up Disneyland.”
Shopping+Food+Sprinkles Cupcakes=Perfection pin my book. There’s something for every budget in this outdoor oasis.
This little gem is on the cutest street in Santa Monica (Montana) and perfect for date night, girls night, or maybe a little celeb watching. Get the dip duo. (I dream about it) The menu is tiny, but you can’t go wrong with anything. Hint: go early and put your name on the list and do a little shopping—don’t miss the boutique, Planet Blue!
If you have even attempted social media you’ve probably heard about this spot or at least seen the hashtag. I won’t bore you with details or information you already know. I’ll just say… My house and closet are filled with gems and baubles from this Sunday “treasure hunt” adventure spot.
This place is my heartbeat. I’m convinced everything still good in this world happens here. Whether you want to tour the most amazing outreach facility in America or are looking to get your hands a little dirty and give back, this place is for you. Contact me for tour or volunteer information. You WON’T regret it.
Living close to this spot of heavenly cream is a blessing and a curse. They have delicious, fresh, homemade options for every occasionfwhen I’m having a “girl’s day” (ahem) I opt for the double cookies and cream. When I’m feeling pure, the honey honeycomb satisfies.
If cleanses are yo’ thang or you just love fab, fresh smoothies and juices, then you have to check out this place. It even smells healthy! L.A. is filled with juiceries but Kreation remains my fav. Even though their juice cleanses have proven themselves a more than worthy adversary on several occasions (more details to come), I still LOVE this spot! <Like how I put ice cream right above fresh juice? Hey, it’s all about balance right?>
Is there really anything better than food and family?? (I mean besides a good, local coffee shop). If that’s your jam, this local spot is for you (pun intended).
This joint is every southern girl’s dream with biscuits that melt in your mouth and homemade jam to lather. Plus, it’s owned and run by the sweetest family. They said it best on their sign, “Biscuits from heaven.” My mouth is watering just typing this.
Again, social media has done major coverage on this L.A. hot spot. Nonetheless, it’s one of my favorites, mainly because I equate this trail to friendship. I’ve never hiked Runyon without a friend, husband, or dog. (To clarify: I have only one husband and one dog). Don’t forget you might catch one of your favorite celebs a little sweatier than normal. Plus, every climb comes with a fantastic view. (And fab pictures, duh!)
